Heritage is the first eatery from Cerbone, who gleaned his Italian cuisine know-how while working at his parents’ Pizza Time Ristorante in Boca Raton. The restaurant quietly opened in mid-February at the Hive, the honeycomb of warehouses behind the old Searstown and north of the MASS art district.
Heritage is effectively Flagler Village’s first fine-dining eatery, and a litmus test for how pricier sit-down restaurants can sustain themselves in the neighborhood. The Italian food is excellent. They make a wonderful chopped salad with big cubes of mortadella, solid pizza, pasta, and small plates like a tasty sweet long pepper stuffed with ground wagyu.
