Tree Planting Ceremony at 10:30 am
April 24th marks Arbor Day in the United States. The City of Hollywood and Green Team Advisory Committee have partnered over the past four years to host an official Tree Planting Ceremony in celebration of Arbor Day.  This year’s official Arbor Day tree, the Marlberry will be planted at Sal Oliveri / Veterans Park, 4701 Tyler Street.  The ceremony begins at 10:30 am and will conclude with a milkweed plant give away at 12:30 pm

Funtastic Friday Goes GREEN at 5:00 pm
The celebration continues Friday evening at ArtsPark at Young Circle in downtown Hollywood with free fun for everyone.  In addition to the usual Funtastic Friday events, the Green Team has organized environmental exhibits from community organizations and garden clubs, outdoor nature opportunities, school environmental club demonstrations, recycling exhibits, FREE plant and tree giveaway, courtesy of Home Depot and more!  At 8:00 pm, the FREE movie at the ArtsPark Amphitheatre will be “Over the Hedge,” a computer animated comedy with an environmental message
