Did you know our famous 100ft Christmas Tree began as a 50-footer purchased by the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority in 1993 to help spur economic development in our struggling downtown? The DDA purchased the additional 50 feet of the tree in 1995 to celebrate the City’s Centennial – 100 feet for 100 years! The city has since purchased a new 100ft tree and Downtown Delray is now a destination not only during the holidays but year-round. So much history and love in our village by the sea!
